Dubai-based telecom operator, du, will participate at this year’s CABSAT along with its partner in the region, Akamai Technologies.

The two firms will showcase content delivery services that can enhance the customer experience of end users, on any device, anywhere.

du and Akamai offer secure cloud based services for delivering media and online content such as HD videos, web applications and corporate websites, via Akamai’s globally distributed delivery platform, with a presence in datamena, in Dubai.

Visitors will be able to experience live streaming, leveraging solutions already implemented with some of the most prominent broadcasters and OTT players in the Middle East.

Fahad al Hassawi, chief commercial officer, du, said that the telco’s partnership with Akamai is “a natural complement” to its satellite broadcast platform, which delivers more than 300 channels for the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Soeren Lindkvist, vice president MENA at Akamai, added: “We are excited to be part of this year’s CABSAT. Throughout the event, we together with our regional partner du, will conduct several live demonstrations of the technology and innovative solutions being leveraged by many leading media companies in the world.”
