Systems integrator Media Group International (MGI) has appointed a new General Manager, Janez Žigon, to drive the development of its customer service offering and international growth.
This announcement comes on the first day of CABSAT 2015, where the Dubai-based company will showcase examples of the latest innovative technologies from Avid, Lawo and Mog.
MGI’s booth will display the V_link4 professional broadcast tool – specially designed for signal contribution, distribution and remote production via LAN and WAN structures – from internationally renowned manufacturer Lawo.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience Avid’s Media Composer | Cloud and Media Central |UX in action between two pods separately placed across the MGI and Avid booths.
MGI’s booth will also feature Mog’s unique new mxfSPEEDRAIL Xpress technology, designed to increase production workflow performance, ensuring interoperability between platforms.
Žigon, who brings 25 years of international and local experience in broadcast systems integration to the post, said: “We are delighted to return to CABSAT armed with industry-leading new technologies from our partners. CABSAT 2015 rounds off a successful business period for MGI, which was named Digital Studio’s 2014 ‘System Integrator of the Year’. 2014 also saw MGI open its new prebuild facility in February and its new Training Academy in August, which offers high quality training courses for the Middle East broadcast industry.
