Selevision, a KSA-based provider of OTT video platforms and content, has signed a strategic partnership with Batelco Group, Bahrain’s incumbent telecom operator, at CABSAT.

The deal will see Selevision’s range of entertainment services delivered to Batelco Group consumers in 14 countries in the MENA region and internationally.

Selevision will provide and power the cloud-based technology platform and content to Batelco Group, enabling the operator to offer an OTT service to its customers in Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Egypt, Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man, Maldives, Diego Garcia, St. Helena, Ascension Islands, and Falklands. The service is due to be available later this year.

“Selevision is excited to bring a new and personalised viewing experience to consumers with the availability of our OTT service next month,” said Dr. Raed Khusheim, CEO of Selevision. “Just as we have evolved, so have viewers in the Middle East. We are confident that our value proposition addresses consumers’ changing appetite for entertainment and content.

Selevision also unveiled an ambitious target of reaching 1 million registered customers within the first six months of operation of its new OTT platform.
