Plustek Inc, an imaging and scanning solution provider, has relaunched an improved version of its OpticFilm 120 scanner, in partnership with LaserSoft Imaging.
OpticFilm 120 is designed for professional photographers, advanced amateur photographers, film photo enthusiasts, photography schools and clubs.
The scanner is being distributed in the Gulf by authorised Plustek distributor, Trigon LLC.
Plustek and LaserSoft Imaging’s development teams worked to improve features applied in the latest version of SilverFast 8.5 image scanning software.
The OpticFilm 120 film scanner takes advantage of new enhanced workflow and JobManager feature sets in SilverFast 8.5. The improved workflow allows users to control the frame position with adequate precision.
A fine adjustment of any frame can be made from the overview dialog next to image selection. This new function streamlines the batch process and eliminates the need to individually adjust the image scan area for each frame.
When scanning large files with the OpticFilm 120, the new SilverFast JobMonitor App will comfortably display the progress of the scans on the user’s iPhone or iPad within a Wi-Fi network. If Wi-Fi is not available, a Push Notification will notify the user once the scanner has completed the job without the need to actually open the application.
“These new features will be a huge time saver for our OpticFilm 120 owners that batch scan their film”, said Sharon Liao, Plustek’s product manager.
OpticFilm 120 users can download a free update of SilverFast Ai Studio 8.5.
