Broadcast Asia, the biggest exhibition for broadcast and content producers in Asia, opened today at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

More than 18,000 broadcast and production professionals are expected to descend on the event, which runs until June 5.

The event is expected to attract more than 650 international exhibitors including ARRIS, Axon Digital Design, Clear-Com, Ericsson, Evertz Microsystems, EVS Broadcast Equipment, GoPro, Harmonic, LiveU, PCCW Global, Ross Video and Sony, to name a few.

The exhibition will be complemented by conference sessions with keynote speeches and panel discussions focusing on topics such as:nextgeneration broadcasting, including IP, OTT, hybrid and cloud; 4K / UHD; sportscasting; multi-platform streaming; satellite, terrestrial and cable broadcasting; video content delivery networks and more.

At the conference today, speakers include Ramki Sankaranarayanan, CEO of Prime Focus Technologies; Narinder Chhibber, president, Telescan Global Connect; Jeremy Kung, executive vice president, New Media, and CEO, Telekom Malaysia will discuss the convergence of the broadcast and telecommunications ecosystem.
