The cinematic experience will open in September 2015 in the Boxpark development, it was announced on Sunday.

Accommodating up to 80 visitors at a time, the developer did not give away too many specific details of what the venue will entail, announcing it 'will offer a venue that is ideal for exploration and discovery as well as fun and entertainment.'

Edris Alrafi, senior vice president of leisure & entertainment at Meraas, said: "We are excited to introduce The Dome Box, a first-of-its-kind venue in the region dedicated to bringing stories to life in this manner. He added: "The launch of The Dome Box marks the beginning of an eventful phase for our division. We are working on a portfolio of several other exciting landmark projects, which we will announce in due time."
