We round up five of the top picks coming up at next month's IBC2015
This might sound obvious, but we can’t go without a few words about the world’s biggest broadcast and production exhibition, which forms the core of IBC.

IBC provides visitors with an unparalleled platform to meet, address and learn from 55,000+ of the most engaged power brokers, press and prospects in international electronic media and entertainment. The fourteen exhibition halls, themed by creation, management and delivery are complemented by a host of ‘Feature Areas’ specially designed to enhance visitors’ experience. Attendees can deepen their understanding by taking in the IBC Conference and maximise networking at events including the industry established IBC Awards.
IBC’s conference sessions are always a major draw, and rightly so. With diverse topics, expert speakers from around the world, and in-depth panel discussions, visitors are guaranteed to walk away enlightened, and usually entertained as well.

IBC describes its conference for 2015 as an “unrivalled global destination” for discussion and debate about the many different challenges facing the electronic media and entertainment industry, both in its sessions and in the range of networking opportunities it affords. Featuring some of the foremost thought-leaders, innovators and policy makers in their fields and covering a wide breadth of topics, it is the place to explore new strategies, understand business disruptors, chart future technological progress and uncover the future roadmap of the industry.
IBC leader’s summit

IBC Leaders’ Summit is an exclusive invitation-only event for over 150 European and MENA leaders of the electronic media and entertainment industry. It blends penetrating insights from influential speakers, independent and exclusive research, and the collaborative participation of C-level delegates in a day-long event that informs and shapes future strategy.

Designed specifically for the most influential and visionary people at the top of the industry, this year’s Leaders’ Summit provides a single day of high-powered discussion. It takes place behind closed doors, so delegates can speak their minds, address the issues and highlight their concerns in an open inspiring environment.
IBC Big Screen Experience

Designed to IBC’s specifications and featuring the very latest in cinema technology, this state of the art Auditorium is a centrepiece of IBC. With capacity for 1,700 people, the IBC Big Screen at IBC2014 was equipped with the very latest cutting-edge cinema technology including Christie 6P 2D and 3D laser projection and Dolby Atmos immersive audio. It hosted a series of free to attend, editorially led sessions and complimentary world-first exclusive movie screenings. Last year saw big names including director and special effects veteran Douglas Trumbull, who spoke about the issues holding back modern cinema and his own 3D system, called MAGI.
IBC is the event at which the world comes to share knowledge about the electronic media and entertainment industry. The role of the IBC Awards is to celebrate the personalities and the organisations best demonstrating creativity and collaboration. They are presented in a lively and fast-moving celebration during IBC. The ceremony also showcases some of the most exciting and stimulating content from the year and is hosted in the RAI’s Auditorium, which IBC converts into a state of the art digital cinema. The highest award that IBC bestows is the IBC International Honour for Excellence and in 2014 this went to FIFA TV.
