The global premiere of the Firoz Nadiadwala film 'Welcome Back' will be held in Dubai at the Music Hall on September 2nd, 2015 ahead of the film’s GCC release on September 3rd and a worldwide release on September 4th.

Hosted by Dubai Tourism, the red carpet premiere will be attended by the stars of the movie and a large selection of the International and Bollywood film fraternity. Stars of the new movie include lead actors Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Shruti Haasan, and Nana Patekar, along with producer Firoz Nadiadwala, director Anees Bazmee, and musicians Meet Brothers and Mika Sing.

The global premiere, a first of its kind in the UAE, is set to be followed by a fan event on September 3rd, 2015, allowing the public a chance to catch a glimpse of and interact with the star cast.

Dubai has cemented its status as a destination for movie production with its attractive landscape, grand hotels, and iconic landmarks, drawing filming opportunities from Hollywood to Bollywood.

Mana Al Suwaidi, regional director – Middle East and sub-continent, Dubai Tourism commented: “Dubai is a vibrant hub of entertainment and is featured in the film, which is why Dubai Tourism is hosting the global premiere of Welcome Back."

Jamal Al Sharif, chairman of Dubai Film and TV Commission and managing director of Dubai Studio City added: “Dubai plays an iconic role in Welcome Back, with scenes shot across the emirate in a number of unique locations. We are very pleased that Dubai has also been chosen as the location for the premiere, which reinforces the emirate’s position as a key part of the Bollywood production value chain."

Made on a budget of US$ 16 million, Welcome Back is anticipated to be among 2015’s biggest Bollywood releases. 90 per cent of the movie has been filmed in Dubai at locations including the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel, the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, the Meydan Hotel, the Sofitel Hotel - The Palm, the Grand Hyatt Hotel, the Burj Khalifa, the Palace Hotel and the Rixos Hotel.

The film is distributed by Eros International worldwide and will be distributed throughout the GCC by Phars Film and Al Nisr Cinema Film Company.
