Dance Music Conference (DMC) has announced the first round of artists set to perform at its inaugural event in February 2016.
Critically-acclaimed electronic music labels Toolroom, Suara and Kitball, have all signed up for DMC and will showcase their most talented DJs at the event.
Corey Gibbons, managing director of Blue Leaf, the event's organisers, commented: “Holding true to DMC’s values of originality and integrity, we have selected our core artists from the most innovative and respected labels in electronic music today - Toolroom, Suara and Kittball. Each of these labels is gracing DMC with the best DJs in their camps."
The line-up announced so far includes Mark Knight, Prok & Fitch for 'Toolroom Live', Coyu and Olivier Giacomotto for 'Suara Nights', and Tube & Berger, Juliet Sikora, Paji, and P.A.C.O for the 'Kittball Showcase'.
The DJs announced are just a small sample of the wide array of artists that will make their mark at DMC, which being held at the JW Marriott Marquis in Dubai’s Business Bay.
The two-day event will kick off with conference sessions each day, curated by an international panel to provide an insight into the industry.
Gibbons explained: “Dubai has ripe potential to be a key destination on the global dance map; DMC is on course to be the event that brings Dubai’s thriving electronic scene much positive international attention, and at the same time entertain and educate our audiences on the future of electronic music.”
DMC was previously known as ‘Dubai Music Conference', but recently changed its name to ‘Dance Music Conference’ to reflect a more inclusive approach to the regional dance music scene.
