SAM, the company formed from the merger of Quantel and Snell, is set to demonstrate some of its latest products and services at CABSAT in March.
The company confirmed that it will showcase its live production 4K Kahuna switcher with Maverik control panel. This technology delivers power, creativity, flexibility and enabling users to create their productions their way, the company said.
In terms of playout, SAM’s ICE channel-in-a-box solution will also be on show. This solution incorporates all the operational, technical, regulatory and commercial functionality required for broadcast playout. ICE integrates with the Morpheus playout automation system, which is perfect for enterprise-scale use for national broadcasts, sports, network origination, centralcasting and business continuity.
In the news and sports production sphere, SAM will demonstrate Enterprise sQ, a fast-turnaround production system that provides the fastest-to-air workflow for multi-media, multi-platform news and sports environments. The system is seamlessly integrated with SAM’s LiveTouch sports highlighting and replay solution, providing fast highlights selection, playlist editing and live playout control.
For colour, finishing and editing, SAM will offer attendees an insight into Quantel Rio, with the latest V3 software supports advanced HDR colour and finishing and native colour spaces. The recent introduction of SAM’s new Quantel Rio range affords a choice of 2K, 4K, 6K and 8K turnkey systems and two software-only options – 4K and the new Rio Assist workflow partner.
