CABSAT 2016, the region’s leading broadcast trade event, kicked off on March 8th, welcoming over 950 exhibitors from 60 countries and an expected 15,000+ visitors. CABSAT 2016 will run from March 8th-10th at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

Now in its 22nd year, the show will deliver a roster of new and enhanced features, including the CABSAT conference, which is once again being held in conjunction with NABSHOW as collaboration partner.

This year, the CABSAT conference will include 40+ international speakers and 20+ sessions. The event will act as a showcase for new industry reports and whitepapers, interactive panel discussions and case studies, covering all filmed entertainment content across broadcast, satellite, Film/TV and content delivery. The conference will also provide a world-class content management conference programme covering the latest trends, technologies and innovations in the global broadcasting and media market.

CABSAT also aims to deliver and cater to the ‘Content Buyers That Matter’ at Content Marketplace. This segment of the show attracts a mix of content buyers from across the region who are looking to buy content in TV, serial dramas, documentaries, sports, kids TV and films covering Hollywood, Bollywood, Nollywood and Arabic. A focus will also be on exclusive content for those populating their Ramadan programming schedules.

Another highlight of the week is the Digital Studio Awards 2016, which takes place on Wednesday 9th March at the 5-star Conrad Dubai hotel.
