Broadcast Solutions GmbH was keen to demonstrate its ability to introduce new and innovative products to the market at CABSAT.
With more than 300 OB Vans, SNGs and fixed installations delivered to customers around the world, Broadcast Solutions has already earned a reputation as a full-service system integrator with international expertise. Most recently the company delivered a 31 camera OB Van to sports channel Al Kass in Qatar.
Even so, the company still views itself as punching above its weight in a region dominated by bigger and more established players.
To this end, the company was keen to explain the difference that it can bring the Middle East market. One of the key innovations is its ability to deliver bespoke OB vans quickly and at a lower cost than many of its competitors.
Peter Jakobsson, business development director, Broadcast Solutions, pointed to the company’s Streamline OB vans as one key area of differentiation. These OB vans are 100% tailor made to the customer’s requirements. “With Streamline OB, we try to make something that fits what the customer needs. It does the job and it makes money.
“We have a line of OBs from four to sixteen cameras which are pre-engineered and field proven. We are bringing down the time to delivery. People cannot believe we can get a 12 or 16 camera OB delivered in less than six months. It’s unheard of,” Jakobsson added.
Broadcast Solutions also presented solutions covering broadcast facilities, mobile surveillance units to stadium multimedia infrastructure and engineering and innovation services.
Products and brands on show included slomo.tv, cable camera system Robycam and stabilised camera systems by companies like Shotover or Cineflex.
Robycam is a flying cable camera system with gyro-stabilised cameras that allows for 1-2 D up to 3D camera movements that produces spectacular images. The system uses four real-time controlled and automated winches, most advanced gyro-stabilisation and motion control techniques.
