Nat Geo Kids Abu Dhabi picks up edutainment program by Ukrainian studio

National Geographic Kids Abu Dhabi has bought the latest title from MK Distribution, a part of MK Media Group, Ukraine released in January 2018, and titled "Who’s there?"

MK Distribution, a part of MK Media Group, Ukraine announced the latest deals for purchases of the newest titles from its catalogue of chidren's programs.

National Geographic Kids Abu Dhabi has bought the latest title from the studio released in January 2018, and titled "Who’s there?" The Ukrainian studios created a show for both kids and adult audiences consisting of 12 stories about different countries and featuring bright, funny facts about their history, including the nation of Ukraine.

Who´s there? has 12 episodes of 7 min produced by their MeetMinds Studio together with Svoya Production. MK Group also found clients among television broadcasters for two more programs produced by MeetMinds Studio: Mouse Science (13x11 min episodes), and Materials for life (26x7 min episodes).

Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific has picked up Mouse Science for its Central/South Asian territories. Released in 2017 Mouse Science is an edutainment puppet show for kids of 4-7 age that takes place in a fictional science lab. Two mice together with a smart real dog will answer questions commonly asked by children that concern everyday problems children face on a daily basis but cannot solve them on their own. Mouse Science also joined the programming grid of Czech Republic TV.

Artem Zapolskyi, Head of Sales and Acquisitions department commented: “It will be unnecessary to say how we appreciate the interest in our programs from such powerful players in television arena and confidence from their side. It was a challenge for us and we got a huge experience while negotiating with both companies. MK Media Group is more than happy that our leading titles will be watched by the audiences of NatGeo and Discovery.”

Factual title Materials for Life, that describes the “lifetime” story of 26 most used types of materials, will be aired on TVB channel (Hong Kong).

Artem adds: “We teams up with partners from different regions and find very strong friendship with some of them. One of them is Silver Wolf International (Singapore). Cooperation with our friends brought us this deal and we hope are sure there will be much more to come.”
