Arabsat sponsors upcoming Arab Radio and TV Festival in Tunisia

Arabsat is sponsoring and participating in the 19th Arab Radio and Television Festival, which will be held from 26th -29th April 2018 in Tunis.

Arab Satellite Communications Organization (ARABSAT) is sponsoring and participating in the 19th Arab Radio and Television Festival, which will be held from 26th -29th April 2018 in Tunis, in the presence of a number of media professionals in the Middle East and North Africa region. 

"We have an excellent working relationship with the Arab States Broadcasting Union and we have many common successful projects such as the global TV bouquet and MENOS project for Satellite Media Exchange," said Eng. Khalid Bin Ahmed Balkheyour, CEO of Arabsat.

"Arabsat has launched a satellite television platform from Tunisia in partnership with the Tunisian National Broadcasting Corporation (ONT), which is the culmination of our long strategic relations with this esteemed institution."

The satellite operator serves an audience of over 170 million viewers in the MENA region alone who tune into Arabsat’s video “hotspot” at 26° E.

Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) is the organiser of the 19th edition of the Arab Radio and Television Festival from April 26 to 29, 2018 in the City of Culture in Tunis. The Festival, which will be held annually going forward, is organized in cooperation with the Tunisian Radio and Tunisian Television establishments and in partnership with the Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat)

The festival agenda includes a number of high profile guests who will attend the opening and closing ceremonies with two high standard music evening shows by famous Arab artists. Awards will be presented on the final day of the conference.

The main competition is dedicated to TV programs and news produced by ASBU active member and participant corporations. The parallel competition is dedicated to programs and news produced by private Arab television networks, Arab production companies and news agencies, as well as foreign Arabic-speaking satellite channels.

In addition, the ASBU Broadcast Convention will consist of TV and radio equipment exhibition, and there will be the regular meetings of ASBU members with workshops, one technical and one related to programs. Professional discussion on " High Dynamic Range - HDR Technology, IP-Studio, Digital Audio Broadcasting  and Demos. During the conference sessions, there will be a deeper focus on the development of new Saudi media in light of the 2030 Vision plan.
