Digital Studio: What products and services will be the key focus for your company at CABSAT this year?

At CABSAT 2019, Grass Valley will focus on five key areas: IP, news, cameras, switchers and replay.

We will underscore why Grass Valley has more open standards-based IP deployments than any other vendor. Among the IP solutions on display will be our IQUCP Universal Compute Processor and our comprehensive range of IP control and monitoring solutions that can be tailored to suit any media installation. Also at our booth is the only product in its category that delivers 48 IP inputs and 12 IP outputs in a 2 RU chassis – our versatile MV-820-IP multiviewer.

We help broadcasters get breaking news to air first – regardless of which platform or device audiences choose to access their content on. The GV STRATUS video production and content management suite integrates with social media and CMS platforms to easily manage, track and analyze the performance of social. 

Our versatile Kula and Korona K-Frame V-series production switchers will also be on display alongside the LiveTouch sports replay and highlights solution, which delivers sophisticated highlight capabilities to productions of any size.

Grass Valley’s ability to deliver a glass-to-glass solution is underscored by our camera offering – this year we are demonstrating the LDX 86N RF head, the only wireless, shoulder-mounted 4K UHD RF head in the industry. Also being highlighted is our LDX 82 Series cameras, which deliver the flexibility to upgrade as production and business needs change, and the LDX C86N WorldCam, which provide a seamless upgrade path to native 4K (LDX C86N 4K).

DS: What do you hope to achieve by attending the show?

Trade shows are where our industry does business. They provide a valuable opportunity to engage with customers and partners as we underline how Grass Valley is delivering new innovations that help them create better content, more efficiently than ever.

DS: What is your outlook for the Middle East market?

The Middle East is an important market for us and one where we continue to see solid growth. IP is gaining traction as broadcasters and media organizations look to leverage format agnostic infrastructures that enable them to rapidly evolve and respond as the market dictates.

Esports is also a growing sector in the Middle East and will bring exciting new opportunities for both content producers and traditional broadcasters. Gaming fans demand captivating coverage, with stunning images, that incorporates individual player and team feeds in addition to social media integration.
