A Netflix plug-in has been made available on Google Chrome allowing friends to connect during social distancing.

The Chrome extension called “Netflix Party” allows subscribers of the popular streaming service to watch and chat with friends from separate locations.

To start, download the extension, choose a show, and click on the “NP” icon on the toolbar.

After you install the extension it will provide you a web address to send to your friends.

Videos can also be paused and restarted through “Netflix Party”.
