Advanced Media snares sales at CABSAT

Dubai-based distributor Advanced Media has enjoyed a bumper first day at CABSAT, selling six units of the Microdolly Hollywood to Middle East clients, DPME.com can reveal.

Chairman and founder of Microdolly, Jerry Johnson, who is demonstrating the technology at the Advanced Media booth, commented that the Microdolly “is an extremely light-weight equipment designed for TV and film crews who are always on the road”.

“I spent 44 years as a director in film and TV before I retired 17 years ago to launch the Microdolly. We make our own metal and plastic and manufacture our own parts for this. There are several manufacturers who have tried hard to copy the design but have not been successful in providing all the functionality we offer on the Microdolly,” he added.

Several representatives from the US are at the booth of the distributor to demonstrate their products to CABSAT visitors.

Advanced Media is also scheduled to host a two-day training session on 3D stereography on March 7 and 8 at Colonia Film in Dubai Shopping Centre for camera pros.
