MBC Group has signed a cooperation agreement with The American University in Dubai (AUD) to provide special academic privileges to the Group’s employees and their families.

Starting September 1, employees can take advantage of special rebates on various Bachelor and Master's degrees offered at the university.

Dr David Schmidt, AUD’s newly appointed president, met with teams from MBC Group at its headquarters in Dubai Media City to outline the array of university programmes.

During those meetings, Dr Schmidt spoke of his delight at this new agreement, stressing the importance of “the development of media sector professionals of the future."

On his part, MBC Group TV director, Ali Jaber commented: “Quality education is essential for those working in a sophisticated and multi-skilled organisation such as that of MBC.

“The Group's future lies, not only in the pursuit of technical and creative talent, but also in its continuous efforts to enhance its capabilities, including its current diverse human resources.”

He continued: “This is one of the most important projects for MBC Group’s employees and their families.”
