Imagenation Abu Dhabi has launched an online portal designed to discover untapped acting talent in the region, the company has announced.
The EmiratiFilmStar.com will invite Arab expatriates in the UAE as well as UAE nationals to register online, with casting director’s inviting those who meet the necessary requirements to audition.
Imagenation announced a slate of six emirate films last month and is now looking to fill some of the on-screen roles with local faces.
“The introduction of the portal follows our recent announcement relating to our international internship programme, and reinforces our commitment to discovering and fostering a pool of new talent,” said Stefan Brunner, COO Imagenation Abu Dhabi. “It is our intention to encourage and support fully those individuals with natural acting ability, in order to ensure that both on and off screen the standards are best-in-class.”
Imagenation Abu Dhabi‘s Emirati slate includes: Sea Shadow, Million’s Poet, Djinn, Alaska, Monsoon and Alis and Aishas. Sea Shadow will be the first project to utilise the website with principal photography beginning towards the end of 2010.
