Dubai-based Oasis PPD has been learning lessons in Afghanistan with AV and Broadcast systems for the most influential universities in the region.
Kabul University, Nangarhar University, Balkh University and Kandahar University located in Kabul, Kandahar, Mazri Sharif and Jalalabad respectively, have worked with Oasis on the installation of AV & Broadcast systems for their TV and Radio stations.
The US embassy’s implementing partner HUDA Development Organization appointed Oasis to install AV & Broadcast equipment for the Media Operations Center (MOC) of Kabul University, which is part-maintained by a grant from the US Embassy. The state-of-the-art MOC now has professional TV, radio recording and production studios and equipment at their fingertips, giving its students invaluable hands-on practical experience to prepare them for their future journalism careers.
Kabul University’s radio and TV stations are now fully functional, having opened to students in April 2013. The other 3 universities are currently on the way with Oasis PPD onsite.
