After launching in theatres worldwide just this weekend to a positive reception, Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies, divisions of Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAB, VIA), announced today that a sequel to the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie is already underway, with Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes company again on board to produce.
Bay will produce the sequel alongside his Platinum Dunes partners Andrew Form and Brad Fuller, with Galen Walker and Scott Mednick also producing. Screenwriters Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol) are again coming aboard to write the sequel and will also executive produce.
The film will be released by Paramount Pictures on June 3, 2016 – no cast details have been announced yet.
