Carlos Ghosn, the French-Lebanese former Nissan and Renault boss who last year dramatically jumped bail in Tokyo and fled to Beirut, is set to tell his story in a book and series of films, it was confirmed in a new interview, AB.com reported.

Ghosn was arrested in Tokyo on December 19, 2018, in relation to allegations of financial misconduct.

His Hollywood-style fugitive story has certainly led to many media offers. “I have a book coming out in September; another is in the offing,” he was quoted as saying in an interview with The Times newspaper, carried out on March 3 and published on March 13.

“Then there is a documentary, a TV series and possibly a movie,” he added.

When asked which actor should play him, he responds: “I have no idea and I don’t mind… What matters most is that it tells the truth.”

He allegedly fled Japan by hiding inside a bass musical case and on board a series of private jets.

However, Ghosn refused to confirm any details, keeping them, no doubt for the book, TV shows and potential film.

“No comment. There are a lot of myths about this,” he said.

Bloomberg reported in February that Ghosn had started working with Michael Ovitz, the founder of Creative Artists Agency and former president of Walt Disney Company.

A US report also claimed in January that Ghosn had already started to consider turning his life story into a Hollywood blockbuster before he fled Japan and had met with John Lesher, the Hollywood director of the Oscar-winning movie Birdman.
