Structure specialist Wicked Tents has announced a partnership with tent giant De Boer that will see the firms share stock in a bid to increase market share. “They’ve tied up with us and we’ll collaborate on some key projects and we’ll both have access to each other’s product ranges at discounted prices so we can both increase our appeal to clients,” explained Alistair McDonald, managing director, Wicked.
He said the firm had high hopes for the year ahead, and anticipate investing a further AED1 to 1.5 million in stock over the next 12 months.
“We’ll be certainly spending. We’ll be expanding our kit – extending our Losberger range even more, working more with our small tents and possibly looking at expansion in other areas too. We’ve invested heavily in things like Saddle-Spans and Zen Domes over the past two years so now we’re beefing up our other elements.”
Recent work for the firm has included Doha’s Tribeca Film Festival, Abu Dhabi Art and infrastructure projects as part of the Yasalam festival, and McDonald is convinced the brisk pace of work will continue.
“There are tonnes of potential projects we’re finalising at the moment. We’re confident of closing the year well and catapulting ourselves into the New Year.”
